It is different from a standard version of blackjack because of its special Double Attack bet that players may place. Essentially, players may place a second bet, to add to their first bet, after they have seen the dealer’s first card. This blackjack variation also has the Bust It bet.
Playing Double Attack Blackjack
The game is played with decks of cards that have the 10s removed. This means that there will now be 12 cards with a 10 value, rather than the usual 16 cards with a 10 value in the game.
Players place their initial bets before any cards are dealt. After this, the dealer’s first card is dealt face-up for all players to see. Players then make the choice to add an additional wager placed on the dealer’s face-up card. When players have made this choice, their own cards are dealt to them face-up. The dealer’s second card is then dealt face-down. The second bet is known as the Double Attack bet.
Players who win will be paid out on both the bets. Because of this additional potential payout in the game, payouts on a blackjack are lowered to be even money payouts.
The Bust It side bet adds another exciting dimension to the game. Players can make this bet when they make their initial bet. The Bust It bet is a wager taken that is paid out when the dealer hand goes bust on the third card. When any players have placed the Bust It wager, the dealer will continue to draw a third card even if a player already has a blackjack hand or has busted. This means that even if the player loses their main bet, it is still possible to win with the side bet.
